Supported Video Platforms
When you submit a music video through InterSpace, it is delivered to the following platforms:
YouTube and VEVO
If you qualify for VEVO, your video is delivered to your VEVO channel. VEVO requires a professionally produced official music video (not a lyric video or visualiser), an existing audio release distributed through InterSpace, and a minimum streaming history; final eligibility is decided by VEVO itself. If you do not qualify, the video is delivered to a general YouTube channel that we manage on your behalf.
Apple Music
Music videos appear on your Apple Music artist page in the Music Videos section, alongside your audio releases.
Tidal
Available to subscribers on Tidal plans that include video. The video is linked to your Tidal artist profile.
Amazon Music
Delivered to Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Video Music, where music videos are available to subscribers.
What Each Platform Shows
- YouTube and VEVO: the full video with the platforms own UI overlaid; ad revenue is collected if monetisation is enabled.
- Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon: the video plays inside the streaming app, counted as video streams in your royalty reports.
Royalty Reporting
Video streams are reported separately from audio streams in your royalty dashboard. Each platform has its own per-stream rate for video, and rates are typically higher than audio because video streams require more bandwidth.
Lyric Videos and Visualisers
Lyric videos and visualisers do not qualify for VEVO and are usually not accepted on Apple Music, Tidal, or Amazon. They are best uploaded directly to your own YouTube channel rather than submitted through music video distribution.
