- Cover songs submitted without the appropriate mechanical licence
- Recordings that use beats, loops, or stems owned by someone else without a licence
Misleading Metadata
- Using a famous artist name in your title or artist name to deceive listeners
- Naming your release to appear in searches for popular artists (e.g., "Best of [Famous Artist]" when you are not that artist)
- Misrepresenting the genre, style, or content of a release
Prohibited Content
- Hate speech, content that promotes violence or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation
- Content that sexualises minors
- Content that promotes or glorifies illegal activities
- White noise, silent tracks, or non-music content uploaded as music releases
- AI-generated voice likenesses of real artists without their consent
Duplicate Releases
- Submitting the same recording multiple times to inflate streams or game DSP algorithms
- Re-uploading a taken-down release without meaningful changes
Consequences of Policy Violations
- Release rejection
- Account warning
- Account suspension or permanent ban
- Withholding of outstanding royalties in cases of fraud
If you believe a rejection was made in error, contact support at support@interspacemusic.com with supporting documentation.
