A Changes Requested status means our quality-control team reviewed your release, found something that needs fixing before it can be approved, and paused it while it waits for your update.
Why editing looks disabled
When a release is submitted it locks so nothing changes mid-review. When we request changes, some fields are reopened for you to edit — but for certain changes (for example replacing artwork on a release that is far through the pipeline) the editor may stay disabled and you will see a message to contact support. That is expected, not a bug.
How to make the change
- Read the exact request first. Open your dashboard notification bell and your email (check spam) — the message tells you precisely what to fix (e.g. artwork, a metadata field, audio).
- If the field is editable, make the correction in the release editor and resubmit. It re-enters review.
- If editing is disabled ("editing has been disabled, contact support"), reply on your existing support ticket — or open a new one — with: the release title, the change requested, and the corrected file attached (e.g. new artwork). The team applies the change or unlocks the field for you.
Artwork changes specifically
New cover art must still meet the requirements: square, at least 3000×3000px, JPG or PNG, with no prohibited elements. Send the finished file — we cannot edit artwork for you.
What to expect
Once you resubmit or send the corrected file, your release returns to the review queue. Standard review is 1–2 business days (most releases process within 24–48 hours). Related: Why Was My Release Rejected?, Artwork Requirements, and How to Update a Release After Distribution.
