Adding lyrics to your tracks improves listener engagement and helps your music appear across supported platforms with synchronized or static lyrics.
InterSpace allows you to submit lyrics directly during release creation or update.
✅ Before You Start
Make sure:
- Your track has already been uploaded or is in draft.
- Lyrics are 100% accurate and final.
- You own or control the lyric rights.
- Explicit words (if any) are properly marked.
📝 How to Add Lyrics
Option 1: During New Release Creation
- Go to Catalog → Create Release
- Add your track details.
- Scroll to the Lyrics section.
- Paste your full lyrics (including chorus and bridge).
- Save and continue with submission.
Option 2: Add Lyrics to an Existing Track
- Go to Catalog → Releases
- Open the release you want to edit.
- Select the track.
- Click Edit Track Metadata
- Paste your lyrics into the Lyrics field.
- Save changes.
If your release was already delivered, InterSpace will send a metadata update to supported DSPs.
📌 Formatting Guidelines
For best results:
- Use plain text (no emojis or special symbols).
- Separate verses and chorus with line breaks.
- Do not include timestamps unless requested.
- Do not add credits or producer tags inside the lyrics field.
Example:
Verse 1 I’ve been walking through the city lights Trying to find my way back home Chorus Hold me closer in the midnight rain We don’t need nobody else tonight
⚠ Important Notes
- Lyrics updates may take 3–10 business days to appear on platforms.
- Not all DSPs support lyrics.
- Synchronized (time-coded) lyrics require separate approval and may need third-party delivery.
- Lyrics containing hate speech or copyrighted material you don’t own will be rejected.
