What Is an MCN?
A Multi-Channel Network (MCN) is an organisation that partners with YouTube channels to provide rights management, monetisation, channel support, and audience growth services. MCNs work directly inside YouTube's Content Management System (CMS), which gives them tools that individual creators do not have access to on their own.
The InterSpace YouTube MCN
The InterSpace Multi-Channel Network is our YouTube partner network for artists, labels, and creators distributed through InterSpace Distribution. When your channel joins the network, it is linked to the InterSpace CMS on YouTube, and our team manages rights, claims, and monetisation on your behalf.
The MCN sits alongside your music distribution. Distribution puts your music on YouTube Music and registers it with Content ID; the MCN goes further by managing your channel itself — the videos you upload, the revenue they earn, and the protection of your content across YouTube.
What the MCN Does for You
- Channel monetisation management: ad revenue from your videos is collected through the network and paid out with your royalties
- Content ID and rights protection: we register your content and manage claims when others use your music or videos
- Claim resolution and whitelisting: your own channels are whitelisted so you never get claims on your own uploads
- Official Artist Channel (OAC) support: we handle OAC requests for eligible artists in the network
- Owned & Operated (O&O) channels: monetisation-ready channels provisioned directly from our CMS and handed over to you
- Dedicated support: YouTube-specific help from the InterSpace team
Who Can Join?
The network is open to artists, labels, and content creators who distribute music through InterSpace Distribution and have an active YouTube channel in good standing. A one-time upfront joining fee applies. See How to Join the InterSpace MCN for the full requirements and application steps.
