Distributing Music for Multiple Artists — Label Account Guide

Who Is a Label Account For?

An InterSpace label account is designed for:

  • Independent record labels distributing music for multiple signed artists
  • Music managers or management companies handling several artists
  • Producers who release music under multiple project names or collaborators
  • Any artist or entity distributing for 3+ different artist names

Label Account Features

  • Multi-artist roster management — add, manage, and view all artists in one place
  • Per-artist royalty tracking — see earnings broken down by artist
  • Consolidated dashboard — manage releases, Smart Links, and analytics for all artists from one login
  • Team member access — invite team members with custom permissions
  • Priority support — faster response times from the InterSpace team
  • Bulk upload tools — distribute multiple releases simultaneously
  • Label branding — set a label name that appears in release metadata on DSPs

How to Switch to a Label Account

  1. Log in to your dashboard and go to Account Settings.
  2. Under Account Type, click Upgrade to Label Account.
  3. Select the label plan that matches your roster size.
  4. Enter your label name — this will appear on all releases distributed under the label.
  5. Complete payment and your account will be upgraded immediately.

Adding Artists to Your Roster

  1. Go to Label → Artists → Add New Artist.
  2. Enter the artist name, primary genre, and contact email.
  3. Choose whether the artist has their own login credentials (recommended) or whether you manage their releases directly.
  4. If the artist has their own account, send them an invite — they can link their existing account to your label.

Managing Royalties Across Your Roster

Go to Royalties → By Artist to see:

  • Earnings per artist
  • Per-release breakdown for each artist
  • Consolidated label total

You can configure royalty splits — set what percentage of each release's earnings is paid directly to the artist vs. retained by the label account.

Team Member Permissions

Invite your team at Account Settings → Team Members. Role options include:

  • Admin — full access
  • Distribution Manager — can upload and manage releases but cannot access billing
  • Royalties Viewer — read-only access to royalty reports
  • Marketing — access to Smart Links, Bio Links, and analytics only
