The Short Answer
InterSpace can distribute music created with the help of AI tools, but only when you hold all the necessary rights and the release complies with each store's policies. AI-assisted production is fine. Uploading content you do not own or that impersonates another artist is not.
What Is Not Allowed
- Voice cloning or impersonation. Using an AI model to imitate another artist's voice or likeness without permission is prohibited and will be rejected.
- Uncleared training material. Output that reproduces protected recordings or compositions you do not control.
- Spam or mass-generated catalogues designed to game streaming rather than to be heard.
Disclosure and Metadata
Some stores now ask distributors to indicate when AI was used in the creation of a track, and this requirement is expanding. When you submit a release, disclose AI involvement accurately if asked. Incorrect or missing disclosure can cause a release to be held in Quality Control or rejected by the store later.
You Are Responsible for the Rights
By distributing an AI-assisted release you confirm that:
- You own or control the master and the composition.
- No third party's voice, name, or likeness is used without permission.
- The release does not infringe any existing copyright.
Store Policies Vary
Individual platforms set their own rules on AI content and can change them at any time. A release that passes InterSpace Quality Control may still be actioned by a store under its own policy. When in doubt, contact support before you submit.
