Go to Dashboard → Links → Pre-Save Campaigns, select your campaign, and click the Analytics tab.
Key Metrics
| Metric | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Pre-Save Link Clicks | Total number of times fans opened your pre-save landing page |
| Total Pre-Saves | Fans who completed the pre-save action (clicked "Pre-Save on Spotify" or "Pre-Add on Apple Music" and authorised) |
| Conversion Rate | Pre-saves ÷ Clicks — how effective your page is at converting visitors to pre-savers (industry average: 15–35%) |
| Platform Split | How many pre-saved on Spotify vs. Apple Music — tells you where your core audience streams |
| Emails Collected | Fan emails captured through the opt-in form |
| Traffic Sources | Which platforms or campaigns drove the most visitors (Instagram, TikTok, direct link, etc.) |
| Geography | Top countries where pre-savers are located |
| Daily/Weekly Trend | How pre-saves accumulated over time — useful for identifying which promotional activity worked |
Improving a Low Conversion Rate
If your conversion rate is below 10%, consider:
- Simplify the page — fewer options reduce decision fatigue
- Improve your artwork — the visual is the first thing fans see
- Add urgency — show how many days until release
- Targeted traffic — are you sending the right audience? A pre-save won't convert well if the traffic comes from people who have never heard of you
After the Release: What Happens to Pre-Save Data?
After your release date passes:
- The pre-save page automatically redirects to the Smart Link (where fans can stream from their platform)
- Your analytics remain accessible — you can still see total pre-saves, emails, and geography
- Exported email addresses remain in your Fans section for ongoing marketing
Using Pre-Save Data for Your Next Release
- If most pre-savers came from TikTok → invest more TikTok content for your next campaign
- If most fans are in Nigeria and Ghana → consider regional promotional partnerships for your next release
- If Apple Music was higher than expected → consider a music video for Apple Music to capitalise
