Improving a Low Conversion Rate

If your conversion rate is below 10%, consider:

  • Simplify the page — fewer options reduce decision fatigue
  • Improve your artwork — the visual is the first thing fans see
  • Add urgency — show how many days until release
  • Targeted traffic — are you sending the right audience? A pre-save won't convert well if the traffic comes from people who have never heard of you

After the Release: What Happens to Pre-Save Data?

After your release date passes:

  • The pre-save page automatically redirects to the Smart Link (where fans can stream from their platform)
  • Your analytics remain accessible — you can still see total pre-saves, emails, and geography
  • Exported email addresses remain in your Fans section for ongoing marketing

Using Pre-Save Data for Your Next Release

  • If most pre-savers came from TikTok → invest more TikTok content for your next campaign
  • If most fans are in Nigeria and Ghana → consider regional promotional partnerships for your next release
  • If Apple Music was higher than expected → consider a music video for Apple Music to capitalise
