Sometimes your releases are delivered to an artist profile that is already claimed or controlled by someone else, and you cannot access it. This is one of the most common platform issues, and it is usually fixable.
Why this happens
- You released music through a previous distributor who linked it to a profile you no longer have access to.
- The platform matched your name to an existing profile belonging to a different artist with a similar name.
- A duplicate profile was created automatically and your catalogue is split.
Once a release is delivered, the platform — not InterSpace — controls how it is linked to an artist page. We can help relink where the platform supports artist separation, but the platform arbitrates who owns a profile.
How to regain access
- Spotify — Claim your profile in Spotify for Artists. If it is already claimed by another party, use Spotify's access-request / content-mismatch form to dispute it.
- Apple Music — Request access through Apple Music for Artists; for a wrong mapping, raise it with Apple's artist support.
- Boomplay — Claim through Boomplay's artist/studio program. If the profile is claimed and you cannot access it, contact Boomplay support to dispute ownership.
How InterSpace can help
Submit a support ticket and we will relink your releases to the correct profile wherever the platform allows it. Include:
- Your artist name
- The release title(s) showing on the wrong profile
- The WRONG profile URL (where your music currently is)
- Your CORRECT profile URL (where it should be)
If you moved from another distributor, also make sure your old release is taken down there, since the existing link can keep pulling your music to the old profile.
